Head of the opposition says that his daughter paid 434,000 euros for health and lawyers’ expenses in France and Britain, and also took a loan
The SPAK prosecution has listed in its 499-page file the payments that were made by the daughter of the opposition leader Argita Malltezi, her husband and the son of the former prime minister Berisha, Shkëlzen Berisha for their father in relation to health expenses and office expenses for lawyer in France and Britain, regarding the issue of the non-grata declaration.
According to SPAK’s file, from 2014 to 2024, seven payments were made for health expenses and lawyers, totaling in 434,000 euros and 153,000 dollars.
Asked about this part of the file, Berisha stated: “Expenses for health carë, Sali Berisha has his own savings, declared penny by penny. He has never dealt with their administration, both mine and Lili’s, are administered by our daughter, Argita Malltezi. Regarding health expenses, I will tell you a secret, in all cases he received an order from me. You will receive these expenses from my savings, she has not implemented it.
“We are a family with great solidarity. Regarding any transfer made by Jamarbër Malltezi at the behest of Argita, who was not in Albania, they have solved the problem from the beginning. So there is no legal violation, those who think family solidarity is a bribe, they have no family. They can be parents, but they are not, they don’t deserve it,” said Berisha.
According to him, “the payments to the lawyers have been made, but they are all loans of four people, who are also in the process of being declared non-grata by the corrupt lobbying of Edi Rama, Soros and MgGonigal, close to Blinken”.
“There are no payments from Abi Malltezi, there may be a loan and it has been repaid. Abi’s income is from inheritance and inherited properties. Property from inheritance according to Article 177 of the Family Code, is personal,” said Berisha among other things.
