Fire Dropulli municipality is brought under control, the residential area not any longer threatened

The wildfire situation has stabilized for the municipality of Dropulli in the southeast of Albania, thus avoiding the danger for the villages that until yesterday evening were in emergency.

Meanwhile, the fire continues to burn in the municipality of Finiq, while work is also being done to extinguish the fire in the village of Pecë. In order to isolate the fire at the height of the mountains, intervention is also being carried out from the air with helicopters arrived from Corfu.
The fire service of the municipality of Finiq informed that the fire is under control and at this moment it does not threaten any residential area.
