Fire in Mat brought under control after three days, the hearth in Dibër remains problematic
The fire in the village of Madhesh in the municipality of Mat in the northeast of Albania, which has been burning for three days, is reported to have been brought under control.
Meanwhile, according to the Albanian Ministry of Defense, the most problematic situation is in the village of Pregj-Lure of Dibër municipality, where work is being done to extinguish the fire in an area with pines and grass.
This morning, an outbreak was reported in an area with bushes and shrubs in the village of Rras and another in the village of Kuzhnen in the municipality of Pukë, in the northeast of the country.
Work is also underway to extinguish the fire in the village of Sakat in the municipality of Fushë-Arrëzi, in a forest area with black pine and oak, where the fire was reactivated.
The firefighting forces are also in action to extinguish the fire in the location called “Shkëmbi i Hoxha” in the municipality of Kolonje in the southeast, where a fire broke out in an area with bushes and shrubs.
Meanwhile, work continues to extinguish another fire in the “Granicë” neighborhood of the Gjirokastër municipality and in the village of Progonat in the Tepelena municipality, where a fire broke out near the public cemetery, say defense officials.
