Erdogan in Tirana promises trade and armaments for Albania, asks to reject dissident organizations
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the joint conference with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana expressed that he appreciates the fight that our country is doing against terrorist organizations, referring to the dissident group FETO, which has been declared a ‘terrorist’ by Turkey.
“We continue our efforts to increase trade volume to 2 billion dollars. We discussed the issue of the joint fight against terrorist organizations, and I hope to continue our fight against FETO through the agreements we signed today,” said the Turkish President.
On the other hand, Albanian head government Edi Rama, expressed support in the fight against terrorist organizations and spoke about the economic cooperation between the two countries.
“I am really very pleased that we held the second cooperation meeting, where we not only confirmed the determination to strengthen this cooperation, but we were also able to evaluate the concrete implementation of the agreements made, as well as the extraordinary potential of this relationship.
“I shared with the president the measure of the development of tourism in Albania, a high number of Turkish tourists have visited Albania this year and we are confident that the number of Turkish citizens who will visit Albania will be higher”, he said further Rama.
Erdogan today also inaugurated the great mosque of Namasgja in the center of the Albanian capital, built with funding from Turkey.
