Democratic opposition complains in Strasbourg about the political situation in Albania

On the third day of the meetings of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party in Strasbourg with officials of the European Parliament, deputy Albana Vokshi listed the issues about which the DP group informed the MEPs.

From Strasbourg, Vokshi said that they had informed the political groups in the European Parliament about the current political situation in Albania.
“On the third day of the meetings, we contacted all the political groups in the EP, and we informed them about the difficult situation in Albania.
“We focused on the violation of the Constitution by the socialist party in power, the fact that the constitutional order has fallen in Albania, the non-organization of free elections since the government of Edi Rama came to power, the situation of rampant corruption, as well as the use of political justice to attack and persecute the opposition”, Vokshi stated.
“We also stopped the unprecedented attack to destroy the opposition before the parliamentary elections. We will use all the instruments that the EP provides to make decisions for free and fair elections. Free vote means democracy”, aded the democratic deputy.
